Glossary
Kirkpatrick model: definition
The Kirkpatrick model is a four-level method for evaluating training: how participants react, what they learned, what changes in their behavior at work, and the results for the organisation.
The four levels, for a video
| Level | Question | Possible measure |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Reaction | Did viewers find it useful? | A vote at the end, a comment |
| 2. Learning | Is the rule known? | A three-question quiz |
| 3. Behavior | Do people apply it? | Observation, a phishing test, an audit |
| 4. Results | Did the problem shrink? | Incidents, errors, complaints |
Example
After a video on the fake CEO call, level 2 is measured by a quiz, level 3 by a test call three months later, level 4 by fraudulent transfers avoided.
