Text to training video: paste a procedure, a script or your notes
Not everything worth teaching sits in a PDF. A procedure written in an email, meeting notes, a script you already wrote: paste the text and the assistant treats it as a document and cites it.
2 min read

This page describes the simplest case: starting from text, or from a plain conversation, rather than a file.
What you can paste
In one sentence: a text of up to 500,000 characters, titled or not, which becomes a project document; or nothing at all, if you would rather describe what you need in the conversation.
- Pasted text becomes a full document: split into pages of about 3,000 characters, summarised, and citable by every sentence of the video.
- Untitled, the document takes the name of its first line.
- Several texts can join the same project, alongside PDFs and web pages.
- With no document at all, the assistant can start from a description and, if you wish, search the web for official sources.
Three typical cases
| What you have | What the assistant makes of it |
|---|---|
| A procedure written in an email | A one-to-two-minute video: why, the steps, the critical point |
| Meeting notes about a change | A “what changes for you” video, with the calendar |
| A script you already wrote | A video built on your text, kept as is or adapted for the voice, as you ask |
For a finished script, estimate its length first with the voice-over duration calculator: in the videos published on this site, one minute of video holds 117 to 137 words, pauses and transitions included.
What happens next
- The assistant proposes a plan: the video’s objective, the scenes, the target length. You approve it or correct it in one sentence.
- The storyboard is free. You see every scene before anything is generated, and only generating the video uses minutes.
- You correct by annotating the frame; only the annotated scene is rewritten.
- You export an MP4 in 1080p, 16:9 or 9:16, with burned-in subtitles, in your brand.
The guide How to write a training video script details the structure that works.
Frequently asked questions
Can I create a video without any document?
Yes: describe what you need in the conversation. The assistant can offer to search the web for official sources; it then adds the pages it uses to the project’s documents, so they are cited and reviewed.
What is the maximum text length?
500,000 characters per pasted text, several hundred pages. For a two-minute video, a few paragraphs are often enough.
Will the assistant keep my script word for word?
It starts from your text and may rephrase it for the voice (shorter sentences, one idea each). Say so in the conversation if you want it kept as is, then check the storyboard.

- Convert a PDF into a training video: what EducPilot reads, and what it makes of it
Upload a PDF up to 50 MB: EducPilot reads every page, proposes a plan, then makes a drawn, narrated video citing its pages. Limits and an example.
- Turn a web page into a training video: an address is enough
Paste a public page address (help center, official guidance): EducPilot reads it, cites it and makes a drawn, narrated video. What works, what does not.
- Voice-over duration calculator: how long does your script run?
Paste a script or type a word count: the calculator gives the finished video’s length, from measurements on real training videos rather than a generic rate. Free.
