  5. Entry price from the official page, and the free trial.

EducPilot: best for turning a document into a drawn video your experts correct

EducPilot, a French AI training video software, reads your PDFs, web pages or text, proposes a plan, then produces a drawn, narrated video where every sentence cites its page. Experts annotate the frame from a link, without an account; only the annotated scene is rewritten.

  • Strengths: cited sources, review by annotation, six art directions, 16:9 and 9:16, hosting in Germany.
  • Limits: no avatar, no SCORM, three languages (English, French, Chinese), PowerPoint and Word to export as PDF.
  • Price: 5 free minutes; Essentiel €20 incl. VAT per month for 30 minutes, Pro €82.80 for 130 minutes, Business €214.80 for 400 minutes.

Synthesia: best for a presenter on screen, in many languages

  • Strengths: avatars (yours included), 160+ languages and voices, AI Video Assistant from PDFs, decks or web pages, interactive videos, SCORM on Enterprise.
  • Limits: the free plan cannot download; 10 minutes a month on Starter.
  • Price: Starter $29 per month ($18 billed yearly), Creator $89 ($64 billed yearly).

Colossyan: best for e-learning with avatars

  • Strengths: several avatars per scene, SCORM export, interactive videos, translations, input from Word, PowerPoint or PDF, EU hosting available on Enterprise.
  • Limits: SCORM capped at 5 exports a month on Professional.
  • Price: free plan; Professional $59 per month billed yearly.

HeyGen: best for realism and localisation

  • Strengths: realistic avatars, voice cloning, 175+ languages and dialects, videos up to 30 minutes, 4K on Pro.
  • Limits: a general-purpose tool, built first for marketing.
  • Price: 3 free videos a month; Creator $29 per month.

Vyond: best for animating characters yourself

  • Strengths: animation studio, 650+ voices, avatars, screen and webcam recording, document or web address to video.
  • Limits: takes editing time; billed per user.
  • Price: Starter $58 per month billed yearly ($99 monthly).

Powtoon: best for starting from animated templates

  • Strengths: templates and characters, built-in AI tools (avatars, voices, dubbing), resale rights on Advanced.
  • Limits: 5 watermark-free exports a month on Lite.
  • Price: free plan; Lite $15 per month billed yearly.

VideoScribe: best for a hand-built whiteboard

  • Strengths: image-by-image control, large media library, browser or desktop app.
  • Limits: the video is built by hand; downloads capped by plan.
  • Price: 7-day trial; Lite $12.50 per month billed yearly.

Gemini Notebook (formerly NotebookLM): best for a video summary of your notes

Google renamed NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook in July 2026. Its “Video Overviews” turn a notebook’s documents into a narrated video in one of six visual styles, whiteboard included, as a detailed explainer or a brief; a “cinematic” version is reserved for Google AI Ultra subscribers, in English.

  • Strengths: very fast, built into the tool where your sources already live.
  • Limits: designed for learning on your own; Google does not present scene-by-scene correction or a brand kit.
  • Price: access within your Google account’s usage limits, refreshed every five hours since September 2026.
